About

I’m a dad in my 40s, living in London, UK.
I have a Mauritian heritage background. Married and have two lovely (sometimes) boys.

What I went through

In 2017 I faced some mental health challenges, which forced me to go on a journey to find help and support. I wanted to understand what it was that I was going through, and make sense of my emotions, in order to be in control of them.

It made me realise that there are many men out there that are going through similar journeys. Some inside and out of their communities; yet most of the time we don’t hear about these challenges until its too late.

Why am I doing this?

I drew inspiration from a book I read by Austin Kleon called Show Your Work.
It made me think about reaching out to people. I decided to start this blog and highlight my own experiences and topics that are close to me. In some ways, my own self-therapy, helps to keep me focused and a chance for me to pay it forward.

I hope it might open doors for you, the reader, and get more people of all backgrounds, race, and age to talk more and if necessary, get help and support.

I wish to keep my blogging as raw and entertaining as possible but sensitive enough not to offend the people closest to me.

If topics or experiences resonate with you, reach out. Drop me a message on my social media platforms; all I ask is that you have an open mind and be kind.

Happy reading!
